The core philosophies of the Declaration of Independence and USAmerican Constitution, are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Bill of Rights, 5th Amendment, solidifies property, as the manifest embodiment of the Pursuit of Happiness. The Republicans, at the end of the Civil War, passed the Civil Rights Amendments, also called the Reconstruction Amendments.
The Republican Party passed these 13th, 14th, 15th Amendments, to extend the Bill of Rights to black USAmericans. This extends the rights of private property to black USAmericans, as a core right of a free people.
